Travis Scott opened his Tokyo show with a surprise that melted hearts when he invited his daughter Stormi on stage.
The rapper performed in front of a packed audience at the Tokorozawa Belluna Dome, where more than 31,000 fans gathered.
Scott put Stormi, seven, in the spotlight as he sang Thank God from his 2023 album Utopia in which the young person is central.
At one point, the music icon sang the line Storms a minor but you know she s livin major and Stormi sweetly replied. That’s right, Dad.
She grabbed the microphone and confidently delivered the lines as the crowd cheered in delight.
However, the pair bounced on a raised platform with festival-like energy as Scott urged fans to cheer for his daughter.
Later that evening, Kanye West showed up in shock, wearing a mask.
Initially revealing himself to thunderous applause, he joined Scott for a series of songs, including Through The Wire, can’t tell me anything, heartless And All lights.
The reunion underlined a friendly bond between the two artists, despite previous public tensions.
Scott previously praised West as a mentor who helped shape his sound and opened doors when he was young. The two worked together on several projects over the years.
Fans shared clips of the tender father-daughter moment and West’s surprise set on social media.
