Atomic Kitten star Liz McClarnon shares first photos of miracle baby

Liz McClarnon announced earlier this month that her first child had arrived ahead of schedule

Liz McClarnon has shared the first glimpse of her newborn son following the arrival of the baby boy with her husband, Peter Cho, after a challenging year-long fertility journey.

The 44-year-old Atomic Kitten star announced earlier this month that her first child had arrived ahead of schedule. Although the birth was a ‘little scary’, she reassured fans that everything went well by posting a selfie from her hospital bed and giving it a thumbs up.

On Thursday, Liz returned to Instagram to share a series of black and white photos of her son for the first time, revealing that the day was originally meant to be his due date.

In her caption, she reflected on the ‘overwhelming’ experience of giving birth, admitting she was ‘quite shocked’ when her waters broke much earlier than expected, while also praising the NHS staff for their excellent care.

She said: “Today was our little bun’s actual due date. (No, Bun is not his name). I can’t believe he came so early, over ten years ago.

‘He gave me quite a shock when my water broke at four in the morning. It all got a bit scary when his heart rate dropped, but the wonderful NHS staff at our chosen hospital sprang into action.

‘It was overwhelming, but they blew us away with their professionalism and care. We are so grateful.’

Liz and Peter met four years ago and began their IVF journey early in their relationship. She explained that they both took her age of 40 into account when they met, when they were planning to start a family.
