Lady Gaga stepped out in Paris on Saturday night wearing a stunning lace outfit as she dined at Laperouse with fiancé Michael Polansky.
The pair are in town ahead of her four Mayhem Ball Tour shows next week.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Gaga talked about the reaction to her film Joker: Folie à Deux: “There was a lot of negativity around Joker, and I think I felt artistically rebellious at the time.”
She laughed at the intense criticism, admitting, “When it first happened, I started laughing. Because it got so out of hand.”
Gaga also reflected on her mental health struggles while filming A Star Is Born in 2017. “I did A Star Is Born on lithium,” she revealed, explaining that she dealt with conditions like mania and bipolar disorder. Her Joanne World Tour, which began in August 2017, was cut short due to a psychotic break.
“It was really scary,” Gaga said. “There was a time when I didn’t think I could get better… I feel really lucky to be alive.” Her sister’s intervention was crucial: “I don’t see my sister anymore,” she remembers her sister saying, which led to her hospitalization for psychiatric care.
Gaga credits Polansky for her recovery: “Being in love with someone who cares about the real me has made a really big difference.” She now considers herself “a healthy, whole person” and has channeled her struggles into her album Mayhem.
While discussing her Mayhem Ball Tour, Gaga admitted to having panic attacks: “For 90 seconds I have to talk myself out of a panic attack… Rehearsing myself saves me.”
