Donald Trump has reignited his long-running feud with Jimmy Kimmel a month later.
Trump, 79, made the final remarks in the Oval Office on Saturday ahead of the 2025 Kennedy Center Honorees.
The official gala, which Trump is hosting on Sunday, is the first time that a sitting president has taken on guest duties.
“We’ve never had a president present the awards before,” the US president began before dismissing the late-night host as ‘terrible’. Term.
“I’m sure they’ll give me good reviews, right? They’ll say: him.” [Trump] was terrible, he was terrible. It was a terrible situation. No, we are doing well.”
He then switched to late night television. “I’ve seen some people host. Jimmy Kimmel was terrible,” Trump added. “If I can’t beat Jimmy Kimmel talent-wise, then I don’t think I should be president.”
Kimmel previously appeared at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012 to honor David Letterman.
Kimmel’s history with Trump has become more controversial recently and then intensified Jimmy Kimmel Live! was suspended for six days in September following comments he made following the death of Charlie Kirk.
Trump also previously mocked Kimmel for being “fired for lack of talent,” and later attacked him on Truth Social as a “guy with no talent and VERY BAD TELEVISION RATINGS,” urging, “Get that bum off the air!!!”
