Sadie Sink has given a rare glimpse into how her transition from Stranger Things to the Spider-Man universe felt surprisingly familiar.

For those who are not at home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released in theaters on July 31, 2026.

Speak with The Hollywood ReporterSink revealed that she learned she would be joining the Spider-Verse while she was still filming the final season of Netflix’s Stranger Things.

“Oh, it was crazy,” Sink said.

“Spider-Man has always been my favorite. I love Spider-Man. I especially love Tom’s Spider-Man,”

“To be a fan of something and then participate in it is a familiar feeling for me because I was a fan of Stranger Things before joining the show, but I was super excited about what they were up to.”

The actress also noted that the project has personal significance as it reunited her with director Destin Daniel Cretton.

“I also worked with the director, Destin Daniel Kretten, on one of the first films I ever made when I was 14, so it’s kind of a full-circle moment,” she said.

“I had a great time working on that movie.”

While Sink is keeping plot details under wraps for now, she hinted that fans can expect more later.

“I can’t wait to talk more about it. There’s so much I want to share,” she added.

Before concluding, Sink joked that juggling secrecy has become second nature in both franchises.

“That’s why I feel like keeping Stranger Things secrets is kind of easy, because I have so many Spider-Man secrets that I’m sitting on that feel even more secretive.”
