Shrinka hit series on Apple TV+, drops the trailer for season three, which sees the return of Michael J. Fox.
Notably, the actor retired from acting in 2020 after suffering from speech problems related to his Parkinson’s diagnosis.
His condition ties into the theme of the show, which Paul Rhoades, played by Harrison Ford, has in season one.
Although Michael’s participation wasn’t a surprise to fans, as the series announced in May that he would be making a cameo appearance.
About his role, Michael previously told People that when he first watched the series, he called Bill Lawrence, the show’s creator.
“I said, ‘You did a program about Parkinson’s and you didn’t call me?’ And he said, ‘Oh, do you want to do it?’ And I said, ‘I’d love to do it,'” the 64-year-old previously told People.
During this conversation, the actor recalled that the maker came back with an interesting concept. “So he said, ‘Let me think about it, see what I can do.’ So he started working on it and came up with this concept, it’s really good.”
While the Back to the Future star didn’t reveal much about the concept, he added that he plays a character with Parkinson’s disease.
“It was the first time ever I showed up on set, and I didn’t have to worry about being too tired or coughing or anything,” he noted.
“I just do it. It’s been really good because in the moments where I say, ‘I’m not going to be able to do this,’ I say, ‘Well, I’ll just deal in the scene with how I can’t do it.’ And you will get through it,” Michael shared.
Shrinking season three will stream on Apple TV+ on January 28.
