Sandra Bullock revealed that she always considers her children her first priority, even above her acting career.

The 61-year-old actress, a mother of two, shared how she prioritizes her role as a mother with her busy work schedule.

Sandra, who recently wrapped work on her upcoming film Practical magic 2said at the CNBC Changemakers Summit in New York City that she only made this film when her children were “out of school.”

The doting mom went on to say, “I’m not going to sacrifice my kids’ time — my time — with my kids.”

“They’d be happy if I was gone,” she explained. “I wouldn’t do that. That’s true. And I don’t do my best when my children are having a hard time or when they need something and I can’t facilitate it.”

Expressing her gratitude for the privilege of choosing her children over work, she added: “I am raising my children, and no one else. But I have the luxury of doing that in this industry. So many people don’t do that.’

“And,” she added, “I understand that sadness and that fear when you’re at work and you say, ‘I’m not where I need to be right now. I’m here to be performative and do my job.’ But guess what? Women can do it. We can do 15 things at once and get it done.”

For those unfamiliar, Sandra welcomed her son Louis in 2010, and daughter Laila in 2015 via adoption in her late 40s.

Sandra’s comments on her decision to adopt children:

The Box Bird said actress Red Table Talk in 2022: “I don’t know why that was the only route, but I’m so happy that the universe made me wait even though I was anxious and eager – and it didn’t work out, you’re not going to do it the way you think you’re going to do it.”
