Zayn Malik shares a heartbreaking update on the release day of his new album, KONNAKOL.
On April 17, the former One Direction member shared a message to his fans via Instagram Stories.
Malik shared a photo from the hospital bed, sparking health concerns. He wrote in the caption, “To my fans – Thank you to all of you for your love and support now and always – it’s been a long week and I’m still unexpectedly recovering.”
He continued, “I’m heartbroken that I won’t be able to see you all this week. Without you I would not be where I am today and I am so grateful for your understanding.”
“Thank you to the incredible hospital staff of doctors, nurses, cardiologists, management, admin and everyone who helped along the way and continues to help. You are all legends!” the singer added.
Closing with: “Big big love xx z.”
It is pertinent to mention that this comes after Zayn Malik had to withdraw from a Q&A at Circuit, Kingston, hours in advance.
Additionally, the April 13 show has also been moved to fans.
KONNAKOL marks Malik’s fifth studio album, which has been described as the most South Asian album to date.
