Gun smoke Actor Roger Ewing has died at the age of 83.
His death was confirmed by his family in an obituary, but the cause of death was not revealed. According to the report, Roger died on December 18, 2025.
Best known for his role as Deputy Marshal Thad Greenwood in the long-running TV western Gun smokeRoger, the American film actor, first appeared in the series in February 1965, aged just 23. He initially played a different character before later returning as Thud.
After turning to acting full-time after college and working as a lifeguard, Roger made his first film debut in 1964 in an uncredited role in the film Ensign Pulver.
In particular the None other than the Brave star landed some guest roles in popular shows that same year.
Furthermore, Roger Ewing retired from acting in the early 1970s to pursue photography, which took him all over the world, including Mexico, Russia, Europe and the South Pacific.
On the other hand, the actor also got involved in local politics and later ran for city council in his hometown of Morro Bay.
It is pertinent to mention that Roger did not marry anyone and had no children of his own. However, he is survived by other family members.
