Carol Burnett sings praises for late Jimmy Stewart: ‘He had THIS’

Carol Burnett recently got candid and opened up about meeting her “movie star idol,” Jimmy Stewart.

While sitting down with Laura Dern for an interview, the 92-year-old American actress, singer, writer and comedian revealed that she had the opportunity to meet Stewart, one of the artists she loved most.

During the conversation, Dern revealed that Burnett was blessed with the “kind of power” that brought out the best in people on a set, and confessed that she influenced many with humility and grace.

The description of the 58-year-old American actress read: You better call Saul actress an impression of Stewart, whom she once met.

Burnett said, “One of the nicest people I ever met in my life was my movie star idol, and that was Jimmy Stewart. Everybody loved him.”

“If you want to give someone power, then he certainly had it,” the spokesperson said Palm Royale star added. “But there was no one I ever met who was such a big star and so humble.”

“That’s who he was. God knows he did some wonderful work and made some fantastic movies, but there was no one I ever knew that was sweeter, and that’s exactly who he was,” Burnett noted, singing the praises of the Fear of heights actor.

For those who don’t know, Stewart, who died on July 2, 1977 at the age of 89 due to cardiac arrest and a pulmonary embolism, made his breakthrough in the 1932 Broadway show. Bear nation.

It is pertinent to mention that he also served in the US Army during World War II before returning to his successful acting career.
