Kate Cassidy keeps keeping the memory of Liam Payne alive almost a year after his death, and she did that by coming to the AI Trend Viral on social media today.
De Influencer, 26, recently shared a series of AI-generated photos that present themselves back in the arms of the late representation One direction singer.
Payne died at the age of 31 on October 16, 2024, after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A toxicological report later revealed alcohol and cocaine in his system.
Cassidy thanked a fan for making the images, but admitted that she has mixed emotions about the technology and called it ‘a blessing and a curse’.
Despite her hesitation, she has leaned on her online community of nearly a million Instagram followers, who often open about her grief.
This week she posted a moving video with the Dendens that she held, including letters, cards and polaroid photos from Payne.
She put the items in a flower memory box and reminded fans: “Tomorrow is not guaranteed”, encouraging them to cherish their loved ones.
Her tribute is underway.
On what Payne’s 32nd birthday would have been last month, Cassidy baked him a cake and shared an emotional message with her followers.
“Happy birthday Liam, I know you still have the sweetest tooth in heaven. I have done my best here, but it is the thought that counts, enjoy,” she wrote next to a red heart emoji.
She also shared a assembly to their memories and added: “8.29.93. A special day for the most special soul. I miss you so much. Happy Birthday Liam. I wish we could celebrate together. In the next life I think.”
Payne’s official cause of death was determined to be ‘polytrauma’, which means that he sustained multiple traumatic injuries.
For Cassidy, honoring his memory through personal tribute has become a way to keep his presence in the neighborhood.
