Last Sunday, when Bad Bunny performed at the halftime show of the Super Bowl, a parallel music event took place on the Turning Point stage, headlined by Kid Rock.
Now he’s responding to what the internet is saying about his rival’s performance at Levi’s Stadium.
“Like most people, I didn’t understand anything,” he told Fox News, referring to Bunny’s performance entirely in Spanish.
The country musician also adds that Puerto Rican hitmaker Bad Bunny’s performance “wasn’t my cup of tea, but I don’t blame (Bad Bunny) for playing the Super Bowl and being in front of a global audience.”
He continues, “I blame the NFL for putting him in that position and Turning Point for having to come out and have an alternative for people to watch. You know, he’s just a poor kid.”
In terms of viewership, Kid’s Turning Point’s halftime show received more than 20 million views on YouTube.
In contrast, Bunny’s performance during the Super Bowl halftime show received more than 47 million views.
