Cody Johnson added another feather to his cap on Sunday when he won the Entertainer of the Year trophy at the 2026 ACM Awards.

The 38-year-old country singer dedicated his award to fellow nominee Luke Combs during his acceptance speech.

“There is a man who was considered for this award and I personally saw how he dedicated his life to country music,” Cody began.

He went on to say, “I was there the night in Australia when his wife gave birth to one of their sons. And I looked at the fear, I saw the defeat on his face because he wasn’t there, because he was playing music all over the world to a sold out arena.”

“The next night, right after that, I saw him get on stage and absolutely kill the stage, and get on stage and play country music and preach the message of country music to a bunch of Australians around the world,” the continued Wild as you hitmaker.

“So tonight I’d like to dedicate my first Entertainer of the Year award to my friend Luke Combs,” Cody added. “I love you, brother.”

For those unfamiliar, the 2026 Academy of Country Music Awards took place Sunday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
