On Thursday’s Diary of a CEO podcast, 89-year-old Stanford-educated physicist Dr. Hal Puthoff made a striking claim: The US has recovered at least four different alien species from crashed UFOs.
Puthoff, who had once been a research scientist with the CIA’s Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program (AAWSAP), never provided any direct evidence showing that he himself had not handled any biological material allegedly recovered from crashed UFOs.
“People who have been involved in recovery operations say there are at least four types,” Puthoff said. His claim echoes testimony from David Grusch, a former Air Force intelligence officer who testified under oath before Congress in 2023 that the US possesses “non-human biological agents” recovered from dozens of crashed spacecraft.
The Greys, Nordics, Insectoids and Reptilians are mentioned by Dr. Eric Davis, a well-known colleague of Puthoff and also an advisor to AAWSAP, who made the statement at the 2025 UAP Disclosure Fund conference, attended by Representatives Nancy Mace, Anna Paulina Luna and Eric Burlison.
Dr. Eric Davis and other UFO experts claim that each group possesses a humanoid body with two arms and legs. Scandinavians are defined as a human-sized race, approximately six feet tall, and resembling Northern Europeans.
Characteristics of reptiles include an upright posture, scales on the body, long tails and human-like limbs. The gray aliens are easy to distinguish, small aliens with no hair and big eyes, like those seen in films like “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”. Insectoids, also called ‘mantids’, are alien species that resemble praying mantises.
These claims are based largely on witness statements and not on any available physical evidence. According to Dan Farrah, the filmmaker behind Age of Disclosure who interviewed Puthoff on his podcast, the people who could testify have refused because they fear for their safety.
