Kylie Minogue is marking her four decades in the music industry with a celebratory tour.
The 57-year-old music icon, who launched her pop career in 1987, let the news slip in a candid new interview with The Sunday times ahead of the premiere of her Netflix documentary.
When asked if she had any plans to commemorate her milestones with a tour, she replied, “I’m probably not supposed to say this, but yes, I am.”
Kylie started her music career in the late 1980s with her first cover The Loco Motionwhich topped the country’s charts at the time. Before launching her music career, she starred in an Australian TV soap, Neighbors.
It is pertinent to mention that the I can’t get you out of my head artist will celebrate her 40th anniversary in music with fans in 2027.
Elsewhere during the conversation, when asked about her current playlist, Kylie shared, “Sombr. I messaged him or maybe he messaged me, I don’t know. I put him on one of my playlists for a promotion I was making. I’m no longer shy about messaging someone when I want them to know they’re awesome.”
The Spin around singer further shared her other favorite music genres and artists, noting, “Otherwise, I love yacht rock [soft rock]indie folk. I love Wolf Alice, and the last big show I saw was Coldplay, always Coldplay. I go to every show they ever do.”
Kylie also added that she feels the urge to get back into musicals and acting.
“I would love to do a musical, to act again, to be in the hands of a director who can take me there,” she confessed.
