San Antonio Spurs rookie Stephon Castle etched his name in the NBA history books after the final playoff game.
His performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves stood out.
With 30+ points, 10+ rebounds, 5+ assists and 5+ three-pointers, Castle created a record.
This makes him the youngest player in NBA playoff history to accomplish the feat.
Notably, the rookie, a 21-year-old, helped his team, the Spurs, reach their first appearance in the Western Conference Finals after 2017.
Delighted with his performance, Castle said during a press conference, “It feels good. It’s definitely a blessing.”
He continues, “I feel like there’s someone on our team that breaks a record every few games.”
“So I mean, yeah, it’s definitely a good thing to be a part of that.”
In addition to Castle, Victor Wembanyama also aided Spurs’ victory by adding 19 points.
Speaking to the press, he said: “Of course we are confident, but we have to maintain the right level of confidence.”
“Right now I’m not even thinking about it. I’m just thinking about recovering.”
Now the Spurs will face the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals on May 18.
