In a blow to Kanye West, a Los Angeles jury ruled against him in a case brought by a handyman over work being done at the rapper’s Malibu mansion.
He has been ordered to pay $140,000 in medical costs, including lost wages, to Tony Saxton, who originally sought $1.7 million in damages and accused Ye of wrongful dismissal, an unsafe work environment and unpaid wages.
Saxton claimed that West hired him to serve as project manager for West’s Malibu mansion. But he only paid him once and fired him after seven weeks.
