Miley Cyrus was reportedly ‘saved’ by Dolly Parton during her darkest times.
Although Cyrus has always credited her country music icon grandmother with helping her through some of the darkest times in her life, insiders now claim the Flowers hitmaker could have faced a “death by drugs” had Parton not been there to pull her back.
The source said Radaronline, “There was a period when Miley Cyrus was living extremely hard, and those around her were genuinely afraid of the trajectory she was on. Looking back now, some think it felt almost inevitable that she would overdose if nothing changed.”
They added, “That’s why Dolly Parton’s presence was so important. She was never judgmental, but she was honest and direct.”
Sources revealed that Parton gave the Hannah Montana star the love that only “someone who really cares can deliver,” noting that people close to Miley Cyrus believe her grandmother’s influence “helped her pull back from a dangerous situation and ultimately saved her from what could have been a drug death.”
It is pertinent to mention that after years of ups and downs with drugs, Miley Cyrus opted for sobriety in 2020 and has since focused on her career and personal growth.
Miley Cyrus still credits Dolly Parton’s wisdom and support as one of the main reasons she rose to fame early on.
