Steven Spielberg made some interesting comments about aliens while promoting the upcoming film Day of the unveilingwhich is also about UFOs.
Speaking during The big picture with Steven Spielberg Live During a conversation, he shared that he believes “we are not alone on Earth.”
While promoting his upcoming movie Day of the unveilingstarring Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson and Colman Domingo, the filmmaker discussed how he “doesn’t know” if aliens are real. Nevertheless, he indicated that he had a “very strong suspicion” about their existence.
He was reportedly delighted when former US President Barack Obama recently declared that aliens are ‘real’, and that he wants to meet aliens one day.
“I don’t know any more about it than you do, but I have a very strong suspicion that we are not alone here on earth right now – and I made a film about that.”
While sharing his two cents on Obama’s recent comments, he recalled thinking, “Oh my God, this is so great for Disclosure Day!”
He added: ‘And two days later he stepped back and said what he believed in life in the cosmos – which of course everyone should believe in.’
“Because no one should ever think that we are the only intelligent civilization in the entire universe. So I always thought as a child that we were not alone. So that speaks for itself.”
Finally, he said, “The big question is: Are we alone now? And have we been alone for the last 80 years? Have we been alone for the last few thousand years?”
