The Bachelor party‘s new season has been canceled by ABC amid Taylor Frankie Paul’s ongoing domestic violence investigation.
Just three days before the show was set to premiere, a spokesperson for Disney Entertainment Television issued a statement saying, “In light of the newly released video that just surfaced, we have made the decision not to move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”
The announcement came just hours after Taylor’s 2023 footage of beating her ex, Dakota Mortensen, was leaked.
The clip published by TMZ On Thursday, Taylor could be seen throwing chairs at Dakota while a child could be seen nearby.
For those unfamiliar, the former couple’s relationship was showcased on ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ after they started dating in 2022. The couple also share son Ever, two.
On March 16, People reported that Taylor and her ex-boyfriend were involved in an open domestic violence investigation, a spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department revealed.
The source said that “allegations have been made in both directions” and that “the parties involved have been contacted [Feb] 24th and 25th,” but shared no further details at the time.
However, Taylor’s insider denied that she was “violent” during the incident and said the reality star was “focused” on her now-canceled Bachelorette premiere.
