Sarah Paulson has shown her support for her long-time friend Amanda Peet after revealing her breast cancer diagnosis.
On Sunday, the 51-year-old actress took to her Instagram account to praise her “very gorgeous” boyfriend Amanda.
“My best friend, Amanda Peet – the weirdest thing in the world is saying her full name out loud, as I call her Bird – but that’s the name her parents gave her,” Sarah wrote along with a screenshot of her friend’s essay.
She further wrote, “Seems appropriate to use here since she wrote the most profound essay about the loss of her parents while dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis. @newyorkermag published it today and I’m shouting it from the rooftops with joy.”
“I hope you all take the time to read it,” Sarah continued. “If you’re running around and doing other things, I made the audio recording and you can listen to me and try to do the piece justice.”
“My boyfriend is a @newyorkermag essayist. How crazy hip is that? Bird, I love you more,” added the Everything is fair actress.
Amanda shared in her essay that she has stage I breast cancer.
For those unfamiliar, Sarah and Amanda first met on set Jac & Jill and have been best friends ever since.
