Uma Thurman returns in the avatar of another villainous role.
In a recent conversation with People, the world premiere of “Pretty deadly” in Texas, director Vicky Jewson was enthusiastic about Uma’s acting skills to play the villain in the film and in her previous projects from her career.
“Uma is clearly an icon, and she can play a villain like no one else can,” Vicky praised.
About Uma’s role, Devora Kasimer, in “Pretty deadly‘, who runs a disturbing roadside inn, told Vicky: ‘She has a wicked sense of humour, and she also brings empathy to the character, which allows you to stick with the character when the most absurd things happen.’
“I don’t think anyone other than someone with Uma’s talent could do that,” he added.
The film’s synopsis reads: “From the moment they arrive, something feels wrong – and their worst instincts prove correct. As the situation turns deadly, [they] We must put aside rivalries and weaponize years of brutal training, turning grace, discipline and even pointe shoes into tools for survival.”
Uma is known for playing villain roles as Discord in 2025’sThe Old Guard 2″ and Poison Ivy in “97”Batman and Robin.”
