Peaky Blinders Fans received exciting news such as Netflix and the BBC confirmed a new follow -up series.
The story will return with a new generation of the Shelby family in the center and has been ordered for two seasons.
Made and written by Steven Knight, the new chapter was determined in 1953 Great -Britain during a period of change and recovery after the Second World War.
The plot revealed that Birmingham, badly damaged by bomb attacks, was rebuilt from concrete and steel.
The struggle to control the reconstruction of the city turned into a fierce competition full of both opportunities and danger, in which the Shelby family was again deeply involved.
Each of the two seasons will contain six -hour episodes and although the cast has not yet been announced, the original star Cillian Murphy signed as an executive producer and joins Knight and other important producers of Kudos, Garrison Drama, the BBC and Netflix.
Filming was planned in Birmingham in Digbeth Loc Studios.
Steven Knight said he was very happy to announce the project and promised that the story would remain rooted in Birmingham.
However, he explained that the new generation of Shelbys took the lead and that it would be an intense and exciting ride.
In addition to the announcement of the series, fans also looked forward to the upcoming Peaky Blinders film The Immortal Man.
Directed by Tom Harper and written by Knight, the film Murphy would play alongside Stephen Graham, Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth and Barry Keoghan.
Placed for release at the beginning of 2026, it promised to go directly from where the original series had gone.
