Michael Che made an unexpected announcement hours before the new announcement Saturday evening live episode.
The 42-year-old is widely known for his work on the NBC sketch comedy series, where he has served as co-anchor of Weekend Update alongside Colin Jost since 2014.
Earlier today, Che posted a shocking announcement on his Instagram just before Saturday’s live show.
The actor and comedian complained of feeling slightly unwell before the show’s dress rehearsal.
“Feeling very sick. Don’t expect much from me tonight. Or any night for that matter,” he wrote on his Instagram Story.
In another slide, Michael shared a response from one of his fans that read, “We never do king. Feel better.”
He wrote under the reply: “ummmmm.. That’s actually very rude. [your] The king is dissatisfied.”
Meanwhile, he further shared another fan’s response which read, “So this means Amy and Seth’s weekend updates are good.” Che wrote underneath, “If I didn’t come out and do an update, the snl che-hive would blow their brains out in disappointment.”
However, the Top five star did not mention any details about what is making him feel unwell. But Entertainment weekly have contacted his SNL reps to find out the reason.
