Charli XCX and Taylor Swift may have an ongoing feud, but they’re united in Luigi Mangione’s playlist.
The 27-year-old murder suspect, who has been behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, has once again become the talk of the town after one of his letters went viral due to his striking confession about music.
Mangione, who became a social media sensation after he was arrested on suspicion of murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, has been charged with manslaughter.
While spending his birthday in jail, he wrote a letter to an undisclosed recipient in which he wrote, “Last week I downloaded some Taylor Swift and Charli XCX onto my tablet.”
Mangione explained, “I’ve never actually listened to either of them, but there was a fake list of my favorite music circulating on social media… Rather than be a buzzkill and set the record straight, I thought I’d see what the hype was about.”
He continued, “So I walk laps on the upper level of my unit and listen vest by TSwift, when one of the other prisoners, “King,” calls me to see what I’m listening to. He scolds me for a while and then replaces all my music. Now I listen to Lil Durk.”

While another wanted to know what he thought of Charli XCX’s song about the The life of a showgirl singer, sympathy is a knife.
This comes after Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, also responded to Swift and Charli’s feud on Hasan Minhaj’s podcast.
When asked for his thoughts on the drama, the Duke was left speechless as he seemed clueless about the latest pop culture debate.
