Millie Bobby Brown and her Hawkins crew are back in action as Netflix finally drops the highly anticipated trailer Stranger things season five.
The final chapter promised a darker, more emotional battle as the heroes prepared for their final confrontation with Vecna.
Set in 1987, the story picks up after the chaos that tore Hawkins apart. The once quiet town was now under military lockdown, closely watched by surveillance cameras.
However, life turned grim for Eleven and her friends, with Vecna’s shadow still hanging over them, hinting that his evil never truly ended.
Series creator Ross Duffer revealed that the new season started in complete disarray, in contrast to the slow start of the past.
He said the characters were still recovering from the pain of season four, and this time the story rushed forward from the very first scene.
Producer Shawn Levy promised huge visuals and powerful action, but said the real strength of the show remained its heart.
Shawn went on to explain that the story would continue to emphasize friendship, sacrifice and love, the same emotions that made Stranger Things a worldwide favorite.
The trailer showed Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas and Max getting ready to meet Vecna for the last time.
Brown said Eleven was now in full “warrior mode,” ready to protect her chosen family. Matarazzo said the friends struggled to stay united as Hawkins became more dangerous.
With eerie flashes of the Creel House and that eerie clock, Stranger Things 5 promised a powerful finale when it is released in two parts from November 26.
