Amy Schumer recently broke her silence on deleting her old photos on social media.
The American comedian made headlines after deleting all her photos from her Instagram during her weight loss journey.
On November 12, the Train wreck actress in her latest IG post clarified the real reason behind deleting her photos and also discussed her endometriosis journey.
“I didn’t delete my old photos because they were before I started losing weight… That’s a story you made up,” the 44-year-old wrote in the caption.
Amy revealed she is “proud” of how she has “always looked”.
“I’ve been working to be pain free and I finally did it. My endometriosis is better. My back is healing. I no longer have Cushing’s syndrome, so my face went back to normal,” explained the Leven & Bet star.
Amy went on to say that she is “grateful to be strong and healthy,” especially for her son.
“But your Instagram is not your identity, it’s a collection of what you want the world to see and it makes me feel amazing, strong and beautiful and it was nice to share that,” noted the I feel beautiful actress.
Amy pointed out that she “didn’t intentionally go on a weight loss journey, which is good to continue.”
Her focus, however, was on health, adding: “I’m sure my weight will always fluctuate. I’m a perimenopausal woman on HRT medications.”
“I wish you strength and self-love on whatever path you walk, as long as it is kind and respectful to all people. No matter their weight, race or religion peace!” she concluded.
Meanwhile, Amy received a lot of support from her fans in the comments section.
