Adam Peaty is said to be seeking shelter at his future in-laws’ home after tensions over his upcoming wedding to Holly Ramsay escalated on Thursday evening.
The 30-year-old Olympic champion reportedly rushed to Gordon and Tana Ramsay’s south London residence after his older brother was arrested and interrogated for two days in connection with alleged threatening behaviour.
That’s what insiders said Daily mail that Gordon Ramsay is currently in Ireland for work, while Holly, 25, has remained in London due to her own professional commitments.
However, the lavish event caused friction, with the swimmer’s working-class parents claiming they could not meet the expected costs.
Adding to the family turmoil, Peaty’s older brother James, 34, has also been interviewed by police over allegations he sent a stream of threatening messages to the athlete during his bachelor trip to Budapest.
A source said The sun: ‘With everything going on, Adam will stay in Britain. His team will still deliver a first-class clinic.”
A celebrity source told the Daily Mail: ‘The boys have always been close, and Jamie, a builder, has even helped Adam renovate his house.
‘They have always got along well, but Adam has been changed by his new celebrity lifestyle and family.
“Now James has a possible indictment hanging over his head and his parents have the headache of not being invited and being banned from their son’s wedding.”
Peaty will tie the knot with the celebrity chef’s eldest daughter at the historic Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul in Bath next month.
