Jeremy Renner isn’t backing down after his sexual harassment accuser Yi Zhou declared their dispute resolved.
The filmmaker claimed this weekend that she and the Marvel star had reached a “peaceful and mutually respectful resolution” following her allegations against him last week.
But Renner’s attorney immediately pushed back and narrated TMZ such a deal does not exist.
Zhou’s latest statements come after she publicly accused Renner, her filmmaking collaborator, of threatening to “call ICE” and send “intimate” photos, detailing their relationship in an Instagram post and a follow-up interview with the Daily Mail on Nov. 13. She also claimed he entered into ‘written agreements’ with her before later denying his involvement.
Renner dismissed her account, with his representative saying so Page six“The allegations are completely inaccurate and untrue.”
Singer further alleged that Zhou retaliated after Renner “rejected her romantic advances” and that she allegedly sent “hundreds of unsolicited and unwanted messages.”
Renner has since released a defamation letter accusing her of making “false, fabricated and salacious lies.”
A few days later, Zhou claimed that she had resolved the matter privately with the Hawkeye actor and stated that the pair will continue to work together on their joint projects, Stardust future And Disney Chronicles.
Zhou even thanked Renner’s attorney Marty Singer, saying he was “in charge of the negotiations,” adding, “We appreciate everyone who supported a positive outcome and embraced a forward-looking, collaborative path.”
But Singer quickly shut that down.
“No deal has been reached with Yi Zhou to resolve my client Jeremy Renner’s substantial claims against her,” he said. TMZadding that he “had no idea why Yi Zhou would make up a story that a deal had been made with her.”
