Lainey Wilson is almost ready to start her new chapter with husband-to-be Devlin “Duck” Hodges.

The country star had a big night at the 2025 Country Music Awards on Wednesday, November 19. In addition to her hosting duties, she also took home three awards: Female Vocalist of the Year (which she won for the fourth year in a row), Entertainer of the Year (her second time winning the award), and Album of the Year for her 2024 album. During her acceptance speech for Entertainer of the Year, Wilson, 33, said, “I’ll be honest with you guys. I had so much fun being the host of this thing here tonight. I just came in here to celebrate country music, the love of my life and I know the love of so many of you all.”

She then thanks Jesus, her father and mother, and ‘Duck’, who was in the audience.

“We’re getting married next year, come on!” Wilson said as the crowd erupted in cheers.

The Grammy winner has had a whirlwind few years as she continues to cement her name in the country’s legacy. And now she’s ready to start a new chapter with Hodges.

Wilson and Hodges started dating in 2021, two years before they made their romance public with a red carpet debut at the 58th ACM Awards, where Wilson won four awards from six nominations.

The former NFL player turned real estate agent eventually popped the question and the couple announced their engagement earlier this year in February.

The couple has since attended several star-studded events, including last year’s CMA Awards, also hosted by Wilson. She took home the award for Female Video of the Year.
