Hailee Steinfeld Supports Husband Josh Allen During Emotional Jersey Ceremony: Watch

Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen shared a warm, light-hearted moment as they returned to the University of Wyoming on Saturday for Allen’s jersey retirement ceremony.

The couple, who attended the Cowboys’ game against Nevada, was caught on camera tapping their matching Wyoming caps together and leaning toward each other during breaks in the action — a sweet exchange that quickly circulated on social media.

Steinfeld blended in with the school spirit in a brown-and-gold letterman jacket, jeans, gold earrings and a Wyoming cap, while Allen kept his look relaxed in a gray sweatshirt and a white-and-brown hat.

Allen’s No. 17 jersey was officially retired at halftime, making the Buffalo Bills quarterback — last year’s NFL MVP — the first football player in University of Wyoming history to receive the honor. Allen previously led the Cowboys to back-to-back eight-win seasons.

The ceremony took place just months after the couple got married on May 31 in Santa Barbara. Since then, both have spoken openly about how much they depend on each other. Earlier this month, Steinfeld told Bustle, “I literally thank God every day that I found my person, and it’s the best thing in the world… Life makes sense. Everything makes sense.” When asked about children, she added: “Yes, of course.”

She also credited Allen for giving her a newfound sense of calm and clarity: “That inner peace that you have, that rock, that solid, consistent part of your life is indescribable.”

Allen echoed that sentiment in June, saying that even with an MVP title and a $330 million contract extension, nothing is better than marrying Steinfeld. “Nothing but marrying my best friend,” he said. “She makes everything easier.”

The couple, who started dating in 2023 and got engaged in Malibu in November 2024, continues to enjoy the moment. As Steinfeld said People magazine in March: “I’m so happy – we’re so happy – and we’re just enjoying every moment.”
