Nicole Kidman may have filed for divorce, but Keith Urban is said to have initiated the split because he believed their marriage had run its course.
The 58-year-old country star reportedly hinted at his next move in conversation with a fan weeks before the split.
While interacting with a similar fan, Dale Whiteside, The Fighter hitmaker left a curious comment, which seemed to take on new meaning after Urban and the a Baby girl star officially broke up.
Whiteside recalled telling Urban before the September 15 concert in Saskatoon, Canada, how people often mistake him for the singer, and recently someone identified him only because, unlike the One too many singer, he does not wear a wedding ring and has no tattoos.
“Next time it will probably just be the tattoos,” Urban told Whiteside TMZ.
Notably, the estranged couple confirmed the split on September 29, and Kidman filed for divorce a day later.
Although the news took fans by surprise, an insider shared at the time that the divorce had been a long time coming and that the couple had realized that this was of course the next step.
It was soon reported that Urban is open to a possible relationship with someone new after his split.
