Denise Richards’ reaction to hearing her own divorce filing has been laid bare.
As fans will know, Aaron Phypers filed for divorce from Denise Richards in July this year after almost six years of marriage.
However, Richards recently scored a major legal victory over Aaron Phypers when a judge granted her a five-year restraining order against him.
Now insiders have revealed how the actress actually discovered she was getting a divorce.
A source said this RadarOnline.com that Richards found out ‘from the internet’.
“She was planning to wait to file until she recovered from surgery, but he went ahead and did it anyway, probably thinking it would intimidate her,” the source claimed.
“Denise was annoyed that she had to deal with this while recovering from surgery, but it was bound to happen eventually.”
According to the insider, as soon as the filing became public, stories appeared in the press claiming she was “blindsided” by the divorce and wanted him back.
However, the source insisted that the story was incorrect.
Instead, the insider claimed that “Aaron was the one who begged for her back because he realized the serious mistake he made when he filed for divorce from her.”
They further claimed that Phypers was beginning to understand the financial implications of the split.
“He started to realize that without her by his side, the gravy train for him and his family was running out, and he wouldn’t have anyone — also named Denise — to pay his bills,” the source added.
They concluded by saying, “He depended on Denise’s finances to survive and once she was out of the marriage he no longer had any.”
