Taylor Swift feels ‘very lucky’ to have Stevie Nicks in her life

Taylor Swift has opened up about Stevie Nicks’ influence on her life and career.

During her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the singer called herself “very lucky” to have Nicks’ guidance.

While promoting her upcoming Disney+ docuseries The End of an Era, Swift said, “I’m trying my best not to do the whole thing of, ‘Oh my god, there’s no one who can relate to what I’m going through!’ You know what I mean? Nobody wants to hear that. I don’t want to hear it.”

And he added: “It irritates me when I go down that path. That’s why I try to find through lines in many people’s experiences. Like, I think we can relate to each other even if our lives are not identical.”

Swift continued, “I’ve been very lucky. I have Stevie Nicks in my life in a way that continually influences me in a positive way. Being able to talk to her and be able to call her and hear what she’s been through, she’s paved the way for me and every other artist to be able to do this at this level.”

She noted, “So I’m very fortunate that she gave me her magical, wonderful, wise approach to life.”

Taylor Swift and Stevie Nicks share a close bond. They performed together for the first time in 2010. Nicks found solace in Swift’s song You’re looking after your own child which helped her deal with the grief of losing Fleetwood Mac bandmate Christine McVie in 2022. Meanwhile, Swift Clara Bow performing for Nicks during the Eras Tour stop in Dublin.
