Jacob Elordi shares unfiltered take on AI and return to ‘Euphoria’

Jacob Elordi is opening up about his return to ‘Euphoria’ after a string of films

Jacob Elordi gets real about artificial intelligence and its impact on the industry.

During a new interview with Vanity Fair, Elordi discussed his return to Euphoria, his views on AI and what makes him tick.

When asked what he thinks of AI, the Salt burn star gave an impassioned response, saying, “As a human being, I have no tolerance for it – nor the intrusive, constant conversation we keep having about it… because it’s so damn boring… I’d much rather kiss on the beach, read a novel and get sunburned.”

Talking further about what moves him, other than filmmaking, he said: “I’m moved by everything: photographs, paintings, music… We tend to get into this at the moment when everything is doomed. But when this is the last little moment, it’s still so achingly beautiful… Books are still being published. We can still go for coffee.”

“You can still hug your friend. I can still pet my dog. There is still so much to care for and so much to love,” he reflected.

The Frankenstein star was also asked about returning to Euphoria after so much time away. Season 2 of the series about troubled high school students premiered in 2022. The highly anticipated season 3 is scheduled to air in April 2026.

Reflecting on his dynamic, Elordi said, “In the first season of that show, I would pester Sam Levinson about how much I wanted to make movies…”

But this time he returned after making films like About Swift Horses, Frankenstein, Priscilla, Oh, Canada, He Went That Way and Saltburn.

The acclaimed actor said he “felt like the prodigal son returning with my bags full of stories about the films I had made. I thought, ‘Father, look what I have collected!'”

Jacob Elordi is currently being praised for his moving portrayal of Frankenstein’s monster in Guillermo del Toro’s adaptation of Mary Shelley’s gothic horror novel for Netflix.
