According to TMZtheir deaths are being investigated as a homicide as the pair were reportedly stabbed to death.
Reiner’s most recent film was Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, the sequel to the 1984 classic This is a spinal tap.
The son of noted writer, director and comedian Carl Reiner, he first attracted attention as Michael “Meathead” Stivic, hippie son of Carroll O’Connor’s bigoted, blue-collar blustering Archie Bunker, during nine seasons of CBS’ topical sitcom.
He collected Emmys as Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy in 1974 and 1978.
He has writing credits in The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, have a nice day And Everything in the family and a few TV movies under his belt.
Reiner began working on the big screen in 1984 as a director, writer and co-star This is Spinal Tapthe cherished mockumentary about a fat-headed heavy metal band.
That project was followed over the next decade by a string of blockbusters and popular favorites, including Stay with me (1986), a coming-of-age drama adapted from a Stephen King short story; the fantasy The princess bride (1987); the new romantic comedy When Harry met Sally…(1989); another King adaptation, the thriller Wrong (1990); and the Tom Cruise-Jack Nicholson martial drama Some good men (1992).
