Chris Hemsworth shares his two cents on 15 years of marriage with his wife.
In the latest episode of the podcast ‘On Purpose with Jay Shetty’, the actor spoke about what makes him and his wife Elsa Pataky so strong.
“They both have a kind of adventurous spirit and they make time for each other. I think there were complicated times where it was all work, all kids, and suddenly the ‘us’ in the relationship didn’t exist anymore,” he said.
“You’re just managing a household or the work-family schedule. Elsa is off to work, and I’m off to work and then it’s chaos with childhood, and so kind of distancing ourselves from all that and just having time for the two of us and making space for each other instead of the rest of the world, which can be so all-consuming.”
The duo met in 2010 and share daughters India, 13, as well as twins Sasha and Tristan, 11.
Speaking about their busy lives, Hemsworth added: “I think it’s hard for everyone, really. It’s all relative. Yes, it’s a challenge, but we also have the ability to make it work.”
“We have no excuse for how much time we are able to make for each other because of the support we are able to receive because of our situation,” Hemsworth added.
“There’s always that spark and that attraction, but what it ultimately comes down to is friendship and camaraderie. The moment you run out of things to talk about, you miss that curiosity and interest in each other, that’s when it’s concerning,” he said.
