Alison Arngrim takes a trip down memory lane and looks back on her time Little house on the prairie.
Appears in an episode of The Patrick LaborSheaux PodcastArngrim reflected on the challenging filming conditions of the beloved series.
The series was shot in Simi Valley, Southern California.
Calling the location brutally hot, she recalled: “It was the hottest location in the world. [It] it was so hot.”
For those unfamiliar, Arngrim famously played the spoiled and sharp-tongued Nellie Oleson on the hit NBC show.
She said the cast and crew had to take extreme measures to cope with the heat while filming outdoors.
“It was so hot that they had buckets of ice water and Sea Breeze so you could dip some kind of cloth in it and hang it around your neck,” she explained.
The actress then joked about how predictable the heat-related toll became during production.
“You know how people say the first day of spring [is] when you see a robin?” Arngrim joked.
“The first day of summer is when Alison hits the ground because I was so outside.”
“It was so hot,” he concluded.
