Jenny McCarthy has confirmed she will never return The view.
During an appearance in the latest episode of The Katie Miller Podcast, the 53-year-old actress spoke candidly about her experiences on the daytime talk show.
When asked if she thinks she will be invited back as a co-host The viewJenny replied, “They asked me to come back for things like reunion shows. I thought: I would one day set foot in that place over my corpse.’
The actress, who co-hosted the show in Season 17 in 2013 and 2014, went on to say that “the reason they wanted to bring me on is because, quote, they said it was too polarizing. They thought it was too polarizing at the time, guys.”
“I didn’t consider myself a political person, so I thought I was perfect for the job. When after a week they said they wanted to be political, I thought, ‘Oh my God, what do I do?'” she continued.
“They said, ‘Today we’re going to discuss the hostage situation and whether the US government should pay the ransom or not. And I thought, ‘What?’ Jenny remembered. “I’m like, ‘I just know who won Dancing with the Stars.’ So it was very difficult to get through that year.”
The Masked Singer alum added that she’s “much more political” now than when she co-hosted the daytime talk show.
