Rosanna Arquette, a longtime friend of Daryl Hannah, criticized Daryl’s portrayal Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette.
Days later, Hannah broke her silence about the “untrue” portrayal of her and John F. Kennedy Jr.’s relationship. Arquette also spoke out about it, calling the Ryan Murphy-directed TV series “b******”
On March 8 to her Instagram account, the Nowhere to run actress wrote in defense of her friend: “I love Daryl Hannah. She is an amazing woman, a great actor, writer, director and long-time environmental activist.”
“She’s also an animal whisperer. Her work in the world has been epic.”
As for what she thinks about the JFK Jr. biographical romance anthology, Arquette stated: The portrayal of her on the streaming thing is b******.
She further revealed how Hannah and John F. Kennedy Jr.’s relationship ended. used to be: ‘Her love with John F. Kennedy Jr. was real and some of the happiest times John F. Kennedy Jr. had – just ask his family, but no one did.’
Hannah is also not happy with her role on the show and broke her years-long silence about her past romance.
“The character ‘Daryl Hannah’ portrayed in the series is not even a remotely accurate representation of my life, my behavior, or my relationship with John. The actions and behaviors attributed to me are not true,” she wrote in The New York Times.
She added, “I have long believed that dealing with distortion often amplifies it. But a recent, tragedy-exploiting television series about John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette features a character who uses my name and introduces her as me. The choice to portray her as annoying, self-absorbed, whiny and inappropriate was no coincidence.’
For those unfamiliar, the nine-episode TV series is the first episode to chronicle the life of John F. Kennedy Jr., which also showed his relationships in the 1990s, including his on-and-off dating of Hannah before he married Carolyn Bessette.
