FC Barcelona secured their second consecutive LaLiga title after a 2-0 win over rivals Real Madrid in El Clásico at the Spotify Camp Nou.
Goals from Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres put Barcelona 14 points clear at the top of the table with just three games remaining.
The victory confirmed the club’s 29th LaLiga title and marked the second time in competition history that a Clásico directly decided the championship race.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick was on the sidelines despite his father’s death being announced shortly before kick-off. Players from both teams wore black armbands and observed a minute’s silence before the match.
Barcelona’s players celebrated on the pitch after the final whistle, with Flick thanking supporters and describing the team as a ‘family’ in his post-match interview.
Since replacing Xavi Hernández in 2024, Flick has now won five trophies with Barcelona, including two league titles and two Spanish Supercopas.
The defeat also extended Real Madrid’s trophy drought to a second season in a row, after a difficult campaign that saw former coach Xabi Alonso leave the club earlier this season.
