Book makes new claims about Macron’s ‘affair’ with Golshifteh Farahani despite her denial

A new book has made some shocking claims about an alleged affair between French President Emmanuel Macron and Iranian-French actress Golshifteh Farahani.

The author, French journalist Florian Tardif, linked the affair to the viral incident in which the president’s wife, Brigitte Macron, appeared to hit or push him.

In “Un Couple (Presque) Pfait” (“An (almost) Perfect Couple”), Tardif says that Macron carried on a “platonic” but flirty digital exchange with Farahani for months.

Despite her denial, Book makes new claims about Macron's affair with Golshifteh Farahani

According to the author, during a flight to Vietnam in May 2025, Brigitte Macron discovered messages on her husband’s phone, including compliments such as “I think you are very beautiful.”

She reportedly confronted her husband in a heated argument that led to a widespread tarmac incident in Hanoi.

Farahani was asked about the alleged affair while promoting her film Alpha last year. When she spoke to Gala magazine in August 2025, she directly addressed the rumors and denied them

The actress dismissed the speculation as baseless gossip, saying people need to “create novels” to fill a void.
