Lainey Wilson and Devlin “Duck” Hodges were probably the least stressed people on their wedding day.
On Sunday, May 17, Wilson attended the 2026 ACM Awards, where she spoke PEOPLE magazine about her marriage to the first N.F.L quarterback Hodges when they tied the knot in a picturesque waterfall ceremony in Tennessee on May 10, 2026, and celebrated their honeymoon in Sedona and Las Vegas.
The 33-year-old American singer-songwriter and actress told the outlet, “Honestly, we were the ones who were a little less stressed.”
“Everyone was worried about what they were going to wear to the wedding. We were like, ‘You can wear your birthday suit. We don’t care,'” she said.
“We were probably the least stressed,” emphasized Hodges, who accompanied her to the awards ceremony.
Wilson added that their wedding ceremony was “perfect” because it was “everything we could have imagined, to be honest.” It was beautiful.’
The Hold on tight, darling singer sang praises about her husband for keeping her balanced in life.
She joked, “Honestly, I feel like that’s it: having someone to lean on and call home to get me through is what helped me get through it, and that’s been nice.”
“I mean, he’s my person. So I’m so glad we get to experience this together because this is everything I’ve ever dreamed of, and I’m glad I have my husband with me to be along for the journey,” Lainey Wilson admitted.
