Liam Gallagher reveals who convinced him to attend the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony

Liam Gallagher just revealed that his mother cursed him to attend the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony after Oasis were finally inducted.

Marking a sharp turnaround from his previous rejection of the awards, Oasis frontman Liam will attend the ceremony after the Manchester band’s nomination was accepted at the third attempt this week, despite the singer previously labeling the organizers as ‘clowns’ and declaring: ‘RNR hall of fame is for w*******.’

Referring to his mother Peggy Gallagher, Liam told a fan on X why he changed his mind about appearing at the event.

“Well, I was talking to my mother last night when the news broke and she thinks I may have been a little rash in my perception of the organization. She told me to stop promoting and go to the awards and behave, and you never know, you might enjoy it.”

He will now attend the ceremony with his brother Noel Gallagher.

The introduction of Oasis to the event will be part of a strong UK showing this year, with acts including Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Sade, Billy Idol and Phil Collins set to be honoured.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, which marks its 40th year, will take place on November 14 in Los Angeles, with six of the eight inductees coming from Britain.
