Sarah Jessica Parker shares a rare insight into her love story with her longtime partner, Matthew Broderick.
The Sex and the city star took to her Instagram account on Tuesday to mark her incredible 29-year marriage to Matthew.
In the festive post, Sarah shared a series of intimate throwback photos, including a sweet Polaroid showing the couple away from the red carpets and Hollywood spotlight.
In the snap, apparently captured in their home, Matthew can be seen planting a kiss on Sarah’s head as she leans on him.
The other frames in the photo featured the couple’s black and white images, apparently taken during public appearances.
Sarah wrote in the caption: “May 19, 1997 – May 19, 2026… 29 years. And counting.”
She gushed, “To you, my love. With your favorite band serenading you with me. Us. Forever young. Xxx, your wife Sarah Jessica.”
For those unfamiliar, Sarah and Matthew’s love story began long before they became one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples. They met through Sarah’s brothers Toby and Pepijn, who used to work together at the New York theater company Naked Angels.
Sarah revealed in a previous interview that their romance had a complicated start, as shared on The Howard Stern Show: “We were both seeing other people, so it was illegal. We understood that we had to do right by the other people and officially break up.”
