Jessica Simpson recently recalled Ashton Kutcher’s reaction when he found out she was a virgin at age 22.
While giving an interview to Entertainment tonight, the 45-year-old American singer and actress reminisced about a conversation she had with Kutcher, with whom she worked That 70’s show.
Simpson, who played the role of Annette in the fifth season of That 70’s show revealed that the 47-year-old American actor, producer and entrepreneur was shocked when she told him about her virginal status as a young adult.
She said: “I’ll never forget telling Ashton I was a virgin. He said, ‘Why?'”
“I thought, ‘Because I haven’t met my husband yet.’ I mean, I had met my husband [Nick Lachey] at the time, but I was still a virgin. Those kind of guys The Dukes of Hazzard star remembered.
Remarkably, virginity grew to become a defining element of her public persona at the time, as Simpson joked: “At this age I’m very, very innocent. I don’t think about other people and their sexual lives at all.”
She shared, “It was just something I was talking about, I think maybe in an interview. I’m sure they asked me what kind of guy I liked or something.”
“They must have asked me something about sex. It wouldn’t be like, ‘Hi, my name is Jessica Simpson. I’m a virgin,'” Jessica Simpson noted.
