If Avatar: Fire and Ashes is about to release, James Cameron, who directed the film, shares that the film shows the reason that fuels the real cycle of violence.
“That grief, loss, and trauma fuel the fire of hatred, and it repeats endlessly,” he explains as he talks Associated press.
To make his point, the filmmaker gives examples from ongoing conflicts: “We see it in Ukraine, we see it in Gaza, we see it in Sudan, there are so many things that become generational, they just spread over time – ‘those guys are hurting us, that’s why we have to fight back’”
Meanwhile, critics raved about the upcoming film and generally gave high praise to James’ latest offering in the film Avatar franchise.
Film critic Courtney Howard writes that the film “reminds us what movie theaters were built for. After three films, James Cameron still has the sauce, making the epic spectacle feel emotionally impactful. A glorious saga. Bold, brilliant and amazing in every way, this is what movie theaters were built for.”
Another author, Sean Tajipour, writes: “Fire and Ash continues to push boundaries with every frame. I may not be the biggest ‘Avatar’ superfan, but [‘Avatar: Fire and Ash‘] proves once again that James Cameron can and will always deliver the ultimate cinematic spectacle, pushing the visuals.”
Avatar: Fire and Ashes will be released in theaters on December 19.
