Pakistan registered an important batting milestone against arch -rival India during a high -voltage Asia Cup 2025 Super Four Encounter in Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.
Pakistan first struck and placed 171-5 in 20 overs, and marked their highest T20i total ever against India. Their previous best was 159-8 in Melbourne during the T20 World Cup 2022, a competition that they lost in the last.

Pakistan started a steady start when the new opening couple Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman brought 21 points together before Zaman fell into the third at Hardik Pandya, after a debated decision of third place. Zaman scored 15 of nine deliveries, including three borders.
Farhan then forged a commander 72-run partnership for the second Wicket with Saim Ayub, who made 21 out of 17 balls before he was fired by Shivam Dube in the 11th.
Farhan later shared a short 17-run stand with Hussain Talat (10) until Dube ended his brave knock in the 15th. Farhan remained the top scorer with a 58 discount on 45 balls, with four four and three sixes.
After the resignation of Farhan, Captain Salman Ali Agha and all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz added a crucial 34-run partnership for the fifth wicket until Agha was rejected in a bizarre way.
Nawaz contributed 21 of 19 balls and hit a six and one four, while Agha remained unbeaten at 17 out of 13 deliveries. Fahraf Ashraf caused a late rise and did not score 20 from 8 balls, including two sixes and a four.
For India, Shivam Dube was the choice of bowlers with two wickets, while Kuldeep Yadav and Hardik Pandya each took one wicket.
