Iconic band Blue star Duncan James reveals how they stayed together

Blue revealed that their tactic behind staying together is that they refuse to sit next to each other on planes.

The boy band – made up of Duncan James, Lee Ryan, Simon Webbe and Antony Costa – formed in 2000 and still share a dressing room when on tour, but Duncan revealed the one thing they refuse to do.

He told it The sun: “The only thing we don’t do is sit next to each other on a plane.”

“We all like a window seat and so we all want that seat, and if you don’t get a window it’s like, ‘Oh for God’s sake!’, then you can get into a fight!” added James.

Aside from arguments over window seats, Duncan insisted that he and his bandmates “never really argue” and are like brothers.

He said: “For me, I think it’s because we have a lot of loyalty to each other. And I think with guys we never really argue either.”

“We don’t have any crazy arguments about clothes or who gets what,” James continued, adding, “But honestly, I think it probably has to do with the fact that I’m an only child, so I’ve never had any siblings.”

The The best in me singer continued, “So when I joined Blue and at the height of it all it was just crazy, we were all over the world, doing songs with Elton John and stuff, and I think you just become really close, like brothers.”

“They are brothers that I never thought I would ever have, and we are family. We always say that to each other, we are family. And I think that’s the key,” he concluded.

Duncan James is also happy that the band is releasing their new album Reflections and going on tour to celebrate their 25 years together.

“We’re very busy with the release of the new album Reflections. This will be followed by a big world tour for our 25th anniversary. I just can’t believe we’re already 25 years old and have never lost a member. We’ve been together for 25 years and we’re still here,” he says.
