Kristen Stewart Looks At Directing Major ‘Twilight’ Remake: ‘I’m Doing It!’

Kristen Stewart has expressed her desire to direct a remake of her hit film, Twilight.

Speak with Entertainment tonight at Sunday’s 10 Directors to Watch and Creative Impact Awards, the 35-year-old actress said she would love to direct a remake of the vampire romance series, but with a “huge budget.”

When she asked about the possibility that she would one day like to direct a remake of TwilightKristen replied, “I would love it – look. I love some Catherine.” [Hardwicke] did, I like what Chris [Weitz] did, I love what all the directors have done with the films.”

“They were so themselves and weird and kind of squirrely, and just so present at that time that they didn’t really know what they were yet, like before they blew up,” she said of the franchise.

“Imagine if we had a huge budget and a ton of love and support. I don’t know — I’d love to adapt it again,” Kristen continued.

“Yes, of course, I’ll do the remake. I’ll do it! I’m committed!” she added.

Kristen recently made her directorial debut with The chronology of water. The film was released in the US on December 5, 2025.
